Like many, once upon a time I had a burgeoning wardrobe. Filled with a dearth of black and neutral and frequently adding items without really being aware of how they would work with the rest, everyday dressing was problematic.

Not only did I not decide the night before what I'd be wearing the next day but with such a choice of clothes crammed tightly in the wardrobe and drawers I often found myself just wearing the same things forgetting what treasures lay deep inside. As is often the case in life, you get to the point where you just can't stand it and something's got to change. It was a revelation when I forced myself to set aside the time to work through all those clothes.

As I piled them into categories and waded my way through them I was very honest with myself in deciding what were key pieces, what really worked and what made me feel fabulous.
Being well read on the subject I was finally able to pare down to the elusive capsule warddrobe - classic pieces which were timeless that I could add colour and fashion items to - often less expensive so could be phased in and out in season.

That was some time ago now and I can't tell you the difference this has made to my life. Deciding and dressing has been simplified and it seems that less is more!
